Veris Industries Introduces the E34 Series Multi-Circuit Power Meter to Simplify Energy Monitoring and Drive Savings
PORTLAND, OR – September 5, 2017 – Veris Industries, a leader in building automation technology, today announced the release of its new E34 Series Multi-Circuit Power Meter which monitors multiple independent loads via a single device and lowers the equipment and installation costs of metering systems. The E34 Series makes it easy to add many revenue-grade metering points without having to purchase, mount, wire, and commission individual energy meters. The solution is ideal for a wide variety of large building and multi-tenant environments including hotels, hospital and university campuses, airports, large office complexes, retail malls and industrial buildings.
“Today’s building operators know how much energy their buildings consume, but they struggle to understand exactly where energy is being used in order to know how to further reduce consumption,” said Denis Arnaud, Global Offer Manager. “The E34 Series extends energy management effectiveness by monitoring more load points per device and providing a more detailed view of where energy is used in a building so facility managers can make smarter decisions that drive energy savings. Total harmonic distortion monitoring provides opportunities to augment the energy efficiency and reduce early wear and tear of the electrical equipment.”
The E34 Series meters are installed as a single, compact device with common voltage inputs and communication interface that can measure the current, voltage, power, total harmonic distortion, and energy consumption of up to 14 three-phase circuits with a single board or 28 three-phase circuits with a two-board configuration. They can often be mounted directly in the panel being monitored or in one enclosure and require less physical space than individual meters.
When installed, the E34 Series meter easily integrates with connected electrical networks to provide building and energy managers with data that can improve energy efficiency. The use of BACnet® and Modbus® protocols makes E34 meters perfect candidates to most platforms.
Additional features of the E34 Series meters include:
- Flexibility to select 4- 8- 14- or 28-meter models, which optimizes the cost per meter for any installation
- Two form factors to support a range of application needs, including an open board (E34A) as well as an integrated Ethernet model (E34E) with partial enclosure
- High reliability with ANSI Class 0.5 percent accuracy
- Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) percentage for line-to-line & line-to0neutral voltage and current
The E34 Series power and energy meters will be available in the U.S. in September 2017 through channel partners and directly through the Veris Industries website. To learn more about Veris Industries complete portfolio of metering solutions, visit the power monitoring system product page.
